Is Organic really always 100% Organic? |
|
Organic foods are produced without the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
They don't use pesticides, antibiotics, growth hormones or chemical fertilisers.
Organic foods are nutritionally dense compared to foods produced with toxic chemicals,
chemical fertilisers and GMO seeds. Studies show that they contain more vitamins,
cancer fighting anti-oxidants and important trace minerals than non-organic.
Organic food faces a lot of criticism about the cost, the validity and of course the quality.
If you're paying for organic then that's what you would expect but is that always the case?
It's wrong to allow producers to use the organic label when it's not 100% and they're using
pesticides but on some occasions produce is named organic because it may have one or
two ingredients which are organic so it's always good to check the full ingredients and
the labelling.
However, does an organic label mean a much better flavour? A US Schoolgirl ran a school
project called the 'Potato Project' which is simple evidence that Organic is best!

Prince Charles once said 'organic farming delivers the highest quality best tasting food',
but was he right? We think so! Why don't you give it a go? Replace the fruit in your
shopping basket this week and see. Just remember, because the fruit isn't smothered in
chemicals and pesticides, it's life span isn't as long - more evidence that organic is better
for you and all real! |
